Agreement 470 of 2011 establishes the obligation of the general review of vertical transportation systems in establishments that accumulate people, such as: elevators, stairs and electric doors. This in order to certify and guarantee its optimal functioning for the community that uses it daily.

City TV news. A figure that at the time put the entire horizontal property administrators' union on alert, generating a reflection on the importance of complying with these regulations.

Agreement 470 of 2011, was born with the objective of preventing accidents in vertical transportation systems and electric doors that work inside public and private buildings in the country. This, in turn, obliges the administrators of buildings in which elevators, stairs or electric doors operate to contract at least annually, the diagnosis, review and accreditation of the optimal functioning of the aforementioned equipment.

 

 

For this reason, it is necessary to clarify that the correct personnel to manage this regulation must be qualified and accredited by the ONAC (National Accreditation Organism), thus, the administrator of the property guarantees that the diagnosis and the review of the operation of these equipments comply with the conditions minimum to guarantee an excellent operation and thus obtain the certification as decreed by the Colombian technical standard.

As an administrator, you must also bear in mind that the annual general review (RAG) is different from the preventive maintenance that you must provide to this equipment. Therefore, it is mandatory to bear in mind the responsibility of being up to date in these two processes, since at the time of obtaining the certification you must officially demonstrate the maintenance that has been carried out on the equipment and the periodic reviews of it, guaranteeing its proper functioning. . And in this way meet the requirements to obtain certification.

Finally, you must remember that, in accordance with the regulations adapted in this agreement, it is the administrator's obligation to place the annual inspection certificate at the entrance of the elevators, stairs or electric doors, so that the entire residential community recognizes compliance with this obligation. .
